TNN Swift Cal V2

BENEFITS of USING TNN “Swift-CAL” Swift-CAL is a TNN foliar fertilizer that employs a unique manufacturing process that makes it superior to any other foliar calcium sprays currently available. By using high quality, low molecular weight organic compounds TNN is able to achieve very high leaf absorption rates (85-95%) and rapid uptake and movement (translocation) within the plant.

Swift-CAL contains calcium (ca) as Calcium Ligno Sulphonates compounds 21% and (ca) 6% elemental calcium, 0.2% elemental boron and a small amount of organic nitrogen to assist leaf absorption. Other Calcium Fertilizers & their limitations.

Lime And Gypsum Essential for soil fertility maintenance, adequate or high levels of exchangeable calcium in the soil does not necessarily prevent calcium deficiencies occurring. Calcium is a very immobile nutrient element both within the soil and plant and its uptake and movement are largely dependent on weather and soil conditions and the nutrient status of the soil and within the plant. To avoid calcium deficiency the plant needs to maintain a continuous supply of calcium from the roots. Adverse weather and soil conditions interrupt this supply and this is likely to occur several times between planting and harvest.

Calcium Nitrate While being a good source of calcium, Calcium Nitrate also contains about 15% nitrogen as nitrate, the most plant available form of nitrogen. Nitrate is a very vigorous compound and will antagonise or out-compete most nutrient elements including calcium. High levels of soluble nitrate nitrogen within plants is a major cause of tip burn. This situation is most likely to occur shortly after irrigation and especially during overcast weather conditions when the plant’s ability to convert soluble nitrate to amino acids and proteins is inhibited.

Foliar Calcium Sprays Many foliar calcium sprays do not contain Boron. Boron is an essential component in the movement and translocation of calcium within a plant. Without Boron, calcium sprays are largely ineffective when applied to the leaves due to the lack of mobility within the plant.

Advantages of Swift-CAL Unaffected by adverse soil conditions, and suited to varying weather conditions. Contains only a small amount of nitrogen, therefore avoiding the sometimes detrimental effect of high plant nitrogen levels caused by frequent applications of calcium nitrate. Contains Boron, which assists calcium movement within the plant and uptake through the roots and may rectify inadequate plant Boron levels often associated with calcium deficiencies. Boron and calcium are essential for cell wall stability and strength; therefore Swift-CAL can improve the overall quality of your crop or pastures.
Jar test prior to mixing with other components.

Application Rates. Apply Swift-CAL at 7-9 L/Ha. Depending on crop density. For optimum efficiency and absorption, spray early in the morning or in the evening or under high humidity conditions when the air temperature is below 280C.
